Valentine's Day Recipe for a Kid

Here's a Valentine's Day Recipe for a Kid that is elegant, fun, and best of all...easy!

This luscious, melty, creamy chocolate dessert is just the right thing to show your kids how much they mean to you.
CHOCOLATE FONDUE

- 12 oz. bag semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips

- 1/2 cup heavy cream

- Fruit for dipping. Pears, Oranges, Strawberries, Bananas, whichever fruit you like. Also good for dipping are pieces of poundcake, marshmallows, cookie pieces...almost anything!

Get a pot of boiling water going on the stove. Cover the pot with a glass or heat-safe bowl whose bottom does not touch the water below, but sits squarely on top of the pot.

This is a makeshift "double boiler" that will allow the ingredients in the glass bowl to get hot without burning or scorching.

Add chocolate chips to bowl and stir as they melt. Add cream and incorporate. That's it!

Transfer melted chocolate to a fondue pot. Or, if you don't have one, you can just use any pretty container. (You might have to heat up the chocolate in the microwave if it cools off too much, but this stuff goes fast, so don't worry!)

Dip your choice of fruit or other goodies in the melted chocolate with long forks and enjoy!

Remember, if someone drops their goodie into the pot, they have to kiss the person seated to their right. Happy Valentine's Day!
