Kid Lunch Recipe

This kid lunch recipe is a winner and you will use it over and over again:

CRESCENT ROLL-UPS

-1 package crescent rolls in tube

-roll up with fillings of your choice

-Bake according to package directions

Examples: the four fillings I used in the above photo are:

-Salami and herb cheese.

-Melted butter and dry onion soup mix.

-Apricot-fig chutney and cream cheese.

-Cheddar cheese and olive.

There is almost nothing as versatile as a stuffed crescent roll! The possibilities are endless. This is the easiest lunch, snack, or even dinner recipe I can think of.

Variations: Try filling rolls with different cheeses, meats and herbs, like,

-Ham and Swiss

-Pancetta and Parmesan

-Mozzerella and tomato sauce with basil

-Jack cheese and green chiles

-Chutneys and relishes with cream cheese

-Tuna, chicken or egg salads

You can also make sweet, instead of savory, rolls like:

-Lemon and powdered sugar

-Marshmallow and chocolate chips

-Jellies or preserves and fruit

The ideas are limited only by your imagination! (These yummy rolls are good packed into a kid's lunch too.) Have fun!
